Bartsham Central School was established in 2009 with 330 students and 15 teachers. It lies on the ridge overlooking Bartsham satellite town. Bartsham gewog is located in the north of Samkhar, west of Bidung and east of Yangneer gewogs and has border with Ramjar, Jamkhar and Yalang gewogs.
